Chair: Past President John Meyer (Windsor) <jmeyer@uwindsor.ca>

Pensions Committee

With the objective to set out good practices and enhanced benefits with respect to retiree interest in their own pension plans, the Committee monitors the existing arrangements for retiree representation in faculty associations, pension and benefits committees, and other university governing bodies related to pension issues supplemented by commentary on the legal rights of retirees to such representation. It will liaise with national organizations that follow like interests.

Chair: Paul Huber (Dalhousie) <Paul.Huber@dal.ca>

Professional Support Committee

The Committee investigates and monitors how national institutions and agencies can best be encouraged to give material support for continuing professional work-opportunities for university and college retirees. It shall also, through CURAC, be concerned to convince academic institutions and granting agencies, on behalf of retired but active researchers and other professionals, of the need for financial and infrastructure support for the continuing professional activities. This includes the provision of campus based Retiree Centres.
